Frost, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of this place, passed quietly away April 20, 1905, in his sixty-fifth year. Mr. Frost had been under the treatment of Dr. Leigh, of Norfolk, a portion of that time. Medical skill and loving attention were powerless to stay the hand of death, yet everything was provided for his comfort and for the alleviation of pain that could be suggested. He was confined to his bed nearly six months, and during that time his suffering was intense, yet he bore it with patience and resignation and several times expressed his willingness to depart and be at rest. The deceased was a kind neighbor always quiet and entertaining a devoted husband, loving father and a devout member of Liberty Spring Christian Church. He was a Confederate soldier and served four years in the war. He belonged to Company, I, 41st Virginia Regiment. He leaves to mourn their loss a devoted wife, who so faithfully attended him during his illness, a loving daughter, Mrs. Ada L. Parker, and four grand children, beside other relatives and many friends. The funeral services were conducted from Liberty Spring Church, Friday afternoon, at three o’clock, by Rev. H.H. Butler, assisted by Rev. I.W. Johnson, and the remains were carefully laid to rest in the family lot in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were: N.T. Bradshaw, D.W. Henderson, D.P. Rawles, B.P. Baker, J.L. Rawles, R.J. Jones, L.P. Brinkley and John T. Pearce. [William J.
