Besides her parents, she is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Goldie Hampton, of Woodbridge; Mrs. Josie Lee, of Catawba; Mrs. violet Carroll, of Lynchburg; Mrs. Dorothy Dovel, of Woodbridge, and Miss Ruby Gay of Rescue; 3 brothers, William R. and Thurman H. Gay, of Rescue, and Geo. T. Gay, USA. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Riverview Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. John Newman. Frances Page GAY, b. 18 Jul 1921, Isle of Wight Co., d. 6 Mar 1945, at home, Rescue, interred in Riverview United Methodist Church Cemetery*, 9 Mar 1945, "The Smithfield (VA) Times," Vol. 27, No. 50, Mar. 14, 1945 *Typo on the cemetery list gives "Francis." Her parents, George T. & Pearl I. GAY, are also buried there.
