ELDORA [sic; ENDORA*] GOODMAN Suffolk, Va., Aug. 12. - Mrs. Eldora Goodman, widow of Dempsey Goodman, died early this morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Savage, in West Suffolk. The end was sudden. Mrs. Goodman was recovering from a recent illness and was well enough last evening to assist in the preparation of supper. The funeral service will be conducted at 4 o'clock Sunday from the residence by Rev. I.W. Johnson. The interment will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. The deceased was 40 years old. Besides her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.M. Reynolds, two sisters, Mrs. T.E. Porter, of Norfolk, and Mrs. J.E. Corbitt, of Sunbury, N.C., and one brother, J. She 2m. farmer Dempsey GOODMAN (b. Feb 1855 NC) about 1896. The 1910 Census - Gettings St., Suffolk - gives 1 of 1 children surviving. Her first husband "Willie" William James WALLS (b. 1867 PA), a retired locomotive engineer, shot himself 23 Feb 1917. He is buried in Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery.
