Gwynn Set Tomorrow Funeral services for Diamond L. Gwynn, 54, who died yesterday at a local hospital, will be held tomorrow afternoon at the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Co. at two o'clock, with Dr. H.J. Goodwin, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducting the services. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. Mr. Gwynn was for many years a merchant in the city and had been in ill health for some time. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith W. Gwynn; his widow [sic; mother], Mrs. Eugenia B. Gwynn; a sister, Fannie Gwynn, and two brothers, Robert C. Gwynn and George L. Gwynn, all of Suffolk. A nephew, W.A. Wilcox, also survives. ****************************************************************************** D.L. Gwynn Buried At Cedar Hill Funeral services for Diamond L. Gwynn, a well-known local merchant, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Company, conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin, D.D., pastor at the First Baptist Church. A quartette composed of Mrs. A. Claudia Jacobs, Mrs. D.L. Harrell, W.J. Work, and T. Byron Cutchins, accompanied by Mrs. W.J. Work, sang the hymns "God Will Take Care of You," and "Sometime We'll Understand." There were many handsome floral tributes. The casket was covered with a pall of white chrysanthemums and red roses. Active pallbearers: M.A. Cross, George S. Swain, Job Saunders, Alfred Russell, J.C. Darden, H.M. Haynes, and C.D. Andrews. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
