Gwynn were held Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the grave in Cedar Hill Cemetery, conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin and Rev. J.T. Allen. A quartette composed of Mrs. R.H. Jacob, Mrs. J.B. Hundley, J.T. Alexandria and J.R. Vann, accompanied by Alton Howell, rendered the selections, "Abide with Me" and "Rock of Ages." There were many handsome floral tributes, the casket being covered with a pall of red roses and Easter lilies. Active pallbearers: Murrell Lassiter, Jimmie Darden, Claude Eley, George Wiels, Earl Russell, Alfred Russell, B. Johnson, D.R. Lassiter, Thornton Lynn, Thomas Woodward, Charles Butler, W.M Spivey, M.A. Cross, Tom Staylor, M.A. Maxey, Melvin Lovelace, Milton Hurley, George Swain, E.W. Smith. Henry D. GWYNN, clerk, Suffolk native, d. 26 Apr 1933, Suffolk, interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery*, Suffolk, donated obit, publication unknown *His parents, Amos & Eugenia (BALLARD) GWYNN, are also buried there.
