LEALI GWYNN Suffolk, Va., Dec. 2. - Mrs. Leali [sic; Leah] Gwynn, one of the oldest citizens the county, died this morning at 7 o'clock in the seventy-second year her age. She is survived by one son, W.J. Gwynn, at whose home near Bethlehem she died, five daughters, Mrs. J.T. Roberts, Mrs. George Powell, and Mrs. E.C. Nelms, of Suffolk, Mrs. James Hines of the county, a number of grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral services will be conducted from Bethlehem Christian church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. H.H. Butler. The body will be interred in the Bethlehem church yard. No D.Cert. found She was the daughter of Christopher & Mourning LAWRENCE. Her husband (ca. 1821 - 1872) was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co. E, 6th VA Infantry. Leah applied for a pension 26 May 1900.
