GRAY KILLED IN FRANCE Staff Sgt. John Edward Gray has been killed in action in France, according to word received by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Stubbs Gray, of Norfolk. Sergeant Gray was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Gray of Scotland Neck, N.C. His mother was the former Miss Carrie Lassiter of Suffolk. He was the grandson of the late Mrs. J.W. Bailey, lifelong resident of Suffolk, and the nephew of Mrs. Edward D. McConky, also of Suffolk. Staff Sgt.
