Arthur Knauer. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of John Hudson Griffin and a daughter of John R.* and Mrs. Elizabeth Vaughan Rose. She was a member of Martha Persons Bible Class of Windsor Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Wilbur T. Thorpe of Norfolk; five sons Harry T. Griffin and Richard H. Griffin of Windsor, Wallace R. Griffin of Norfolk, Herbert W. Griffin of Richmond, and Dr. Francis F. Griffin of Virginia Beach; a sister Mrs. Lillian Uzzell of Windsor; 10 grandchildren and a great- grandchild. Annie Maude (ROSE; Mrs. John H.)
