MRS. ROSA J. GRIFFIN 

  CHUCKATUCK - Mrs. Rosa Johnson Griffin, 82, a resident of Chuckatuck, died 
in the home of a daughter, Mrs. John C. Davis of Newport News, at 4 p.m. 
Sunday. 

  A native of Suffolk, she was a daughter of Jesse Franklin and Mrs. Donna 
Eley Johnson.  Her late husband was Alexander A. Griffin. 

  She was a member of Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church. 

  Besides Mrs. Davis, surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Helen Millette 
of Norfolk and Mrs. Donna F. Hatch of Newport News; a brother, Charles C. 
Johnson of Chuckatuck; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the R.W. Baker & 
Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. W. Boyd Bryant, pastor of the Ebenezer 
Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church 
cemetery, Chuckatuck.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Johnson Griffin, Chuckatuck, were conducted 
at the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. W. 
Boyd Bryant, pastor of Ebenezer Methodist Church officiating. 

  Burial was in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery, Chuckatuck. 

  Active pallbearers were Rosser Chapman, Sam Chapman, George Griffin, Park 
Griffin, Layfette Gwaltney and George Carr.
