All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ HOLD LAST RITES FOR GARDNER Dr. Goodwin Conducts Service at First Baptist Church; Burial in Cedar Hill Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Anne Gardner, were held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, at the First Baptist church, conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin. The members of the church choir sang the hymns "Lord, It Belongs Not To My Care" and "Abide With Me." A solo, "Good-Night And Good Morning" was sung by W.J. Work. There were many handsome floral tributes and the casket was covered with a beautiful pall of Easter lilies and fern. Active pallbearers were: John B. Vaughan, August Vaughan, E.B. Gardner, J.E. Cutchins, J.S. Dennis, and Robert Harrell. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was in Cedar Hill cemetery.
