  Suffolk, Va., Sept. 26. - [...] 

    INFANT'S DEATH. 

  Samuel Green, 7-months-old infant of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Green, died this 
morning at 9 o'clock at the family residence, No. 30 Chestnut street.  Dr. 
Staley will conduct the funeral from the house at 11:00 o'clock to-morrow 
morning. 


Samuel GREEN, son of Henry Edward & Leaffier Maude (HARRELL) GREEN, 
b. ca. Feb 1899, d. 26 Sep 1899, at home, Suffolk, age 7 months, 
funeral, 27 Sep 1899, Suffolk, 
listed in Cedar Hill Cemetery*, Suffolk, 
"Virginian-Pilot," Vol. 3, No. 154, Sep. 27, 1899, p. 7, col. 2;

They appear in the 1900 Census, still at 30 Chestnut St., with an unnamed son 
   [John Henry], b. [29] Mar 1900, having lost two children.  John Henry GREEN 
   d. 14 Apr 1977, in Tarboro, NC, and was buried in NC.
