Rites Thursday For Mrs. Hicks 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Kate Hill Hicks will be conducted Thursday 
at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. J.C. Mitchell, pastor of the 
First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  Mrs. Hicks, 69, of 201 Kilby Ave. died unexpectedly Tuesday at 2:45 p m. at 
the Obici Memorial Hospital.  A member of the First Baptist Church, she was a 
native of Gates County, N.C., and a daughter of George and Mary Elizabeth 
Barker Hill and widow of Robert K. Hicks. 

  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. L.T. Judkins of Suffolk; three sons, 
M.M. Hicks, M.E. Hicks and Gibson Rawls Hicks of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Lena 
Oliver; and two brothers, Roscoe Hill of Eure, N.C., and John Hill of 
Gatesville, N.C.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
