HAYES Suffolk, May 7 - funeral services for William Henry Hayes were conducted at 3 p.m. yesterday at the I.O. Hill and Co. Funeral Home by Rev. Henry L. Foster, of the Holland Baptist Church. The casket was covered with a pall of pink gladioli and Mrs. W.M. Aston, Jr. accompanied by Mrs. Julian Goodwin sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". Mrs. Aston and Mrs. S.L. Wright sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and Mrs. Aston, Mrs. Wright and Rev. Foster sang, "In the Sweet Bye and Bye". Active pallbearers were Jesse Copeland, John Wyatt, Moody West, Marion Harrell, W.H. Bradshaw, and B.W. Copeland. Burial was in the Copeland family cemetery near Buckhorn. William Henry HAYES, Nansemond Co. native, d. 3 May 1945, Holland, interred in the COPELAND family cemetery*, near Buckhorn, 6 May 1945, donated obit, publication unknown *Nansemond Co.
