HAWKINS CHILD DIED YESTERDAY 

  Betty Lou Hawkins, three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Quentin T. 
Hawkins of the Wilroy Road, Nansemond County, died at her home at five o'clock 
last night after a short illness. 

  The child is survived by her parents, a sister, Kathryn H. Hawkins, and also 
by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. R.C. Phelps, Suffolk, and her paternal 
grandmother, Mrs. Effie W. Hawkins of the county. 

  Other survivors are a maternal great-grandfather, J.T. Holland of the 
county, and seven uncles and four aunts. 

  The body was removed to the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home last night and 
will remain there. 

  Funeral services will be held at three o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the 
funeral home by the Rev. N.F. Hunt and the Rev. T. Fred Wright.  Burial will 
follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
