Mrs. Hawkins, Is Dead at 75; Funeral Friday 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Frances Rideout Hawkins will be conducted 
Friday at 4 p.m. in the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. John C. Mitchell, pastor 
of the First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. 

  Mrs. Hawkins, 75, of 306 Hill St., died Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. in Obici 
Memorial Hospital after a short illness. 

  A native of Dinwiddie County, she was the widow of Walter Watkins Hawkins 
and a daughter of Benjamin Vernon and Mrs. Anthelear Salmon Rideout of 
Greenville County. 

  She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church, Hopewell. 

  Surviving are two sons, Walter Taylor Hawkins, with whom she lived in 
Suffolk, and Benjamin Luther Hawkins of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Annie Mae 
Stallings of Disputanta; a brother, Daniel Rideout of Franklin; and five 
grandchildren.
