Mrs. Gabie Howell Rites Wednesday 

  FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Gabie Jones Howell, will be conducted 
Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Tucker 
G. Humphries, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, and the Rev. 
Raymond Grissom, pastor of Holy Neck Christian Church, Holland.  Burial will 
be in Holy Neck Christian Church Cemetery. 

  The family will assemble at the home of Dr. Darden W. Jones at Pace's Court. 

  Mrs. Howell, 90, died Monday afternoon at Patrick Henry Hospital. 

  She was the widow of Samuel R.D. [sic; R.B.] Howell and the daughter of 
Elijah and Anne Rebecca Darden Jones of Nansemond County.  She was a member 
of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church. 

  She is survived by a brother, Elijah Phillip Jones of Franklin, and nieces 
and nephews.
