JOHN HARRELL HILL

   Dr. John Harrell Hill, 69, of Norfolk, died today at his home.

   Born in Suffolk, he was the son of the late J. Hercules and Elizabeth Tucker 
Hill.

   Surviving are his widow, Margaret Snow Hill; two daughters, Margaret Tucker 
Hill Kirkwood of Norfolk and Jacqueline Hill Wyche of Buies Creek, N.C.; a son, 
John H. Hill, Jr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Elizabeth Hill Beard of 
Charlottesville and Mrs. Edwin Claybrook (Mary Owen) Griffith of Lexington; two 
brothers, William R. Hill of Charlottesville and Robert Selden Hill of Downey, 
Calif.; two grandchildren; Charles Harrison Kirkwood and Cameron Hill Wyche.

   He was a practicing urologist from 1949 to 1976. He served in the U.S. Navy 
during World War II in the Pacific.

   Dr. Hill was a graduate of Augusta Military Academy, the University of 
Virginia Medical School in 1938 and specialized in urology at McGill University, 
Montreal, Canada.

   Graveside funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Monticello Memory Gardens. 
The Rev. William J. Snow will officiate.

   The family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

   Hill & Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
