Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Kitty Howell 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Kitty Spivey Howell will be conducted Tuesday at 
4 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. J.C. Mitchell, pastor of the First 
Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  Mrs. Howell, 63, of 211 Central Ave. died Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Obici 
Memorial Hospital after an illness of two days. 

  She was a daughter of E.J. Spivey and Mrs. Frances Perry Spivey of Gates 
County, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Suffolk. 

  She is survived by her husband, Dan C. Howell of the home; son, Daniel 
Spivey Howell, USAF, stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Ala.; 
sister, Mrs. J.D. Dalton of Rexford, N.C.; six brothers, James D. Spivey of 
Nansemond County, S.S. Spivey of Newport News, Jack S. Spivey of Whaleyville, 
M.E. Spivey and J.A. Spivey, both of Suffolk, and D.T. Spivey of Culver, Ind., 
and three grandchildren.
