HOWELL Mrs. Ruth Turner Howell, 81, of 123 North St., died Wednesday afternoon in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Suffolk, she was the widow of George Henry Howell and a daughter of Archibald A. and Mrs. Grace Barnes Turner. She was a lifelong member of Suffolk Christian Church and a member of its West Memorial Bible Class and Women's fellowship Circle 2 and King's Daughters. Surviving are a son, Archie F. Howell of Nansemond County; a daughter, Mrs. Horace Johnson Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Fitzhugh Copeland, and two brothers, Floyd A. Turner and Perry E. Turner, all of Suffolk; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in R.W. Baker Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Robert B. Marr. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at her home. ****************************************************************************** MRS. RUTH T.
