Howell, Prominent Citizen, Is Taken By Death William Conway Howell, 49, a prominent resident of Suffolk, died last night at his home on Cedar street from the effects of pneumonia which he contracted after a case of flu. Mr. Howell was the son of Mrs. Wortley Howell and the late W.H. Howell and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Hiltner Howell; three daughters, Mrs. Whitmore and Misses Sara and Margaret Howell; two sons, William C. Howell and Charles Howell; one brother, Harvey Howell, and two sisters, Mrs. Mills Hines and Mrs. A.L. Roberts, of Portsmouth, one grandchild, Joan Whitmore. Mr. Howell was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Men's Bible Class, and was also a member of the Junior Order United American Mechanics. He was associated with the firm of Holland Beamon Company, of this city, at the time of his death. He had been with them for 23 years. No funeral arrangements have been announced.
