HOLLADAY Frank Alto Holladay, 79, retired vice-president of the Suffolk Feed and Fuel Company, died last night at 9:15 o'clock at his home at 318 Bank Street after an illness of several months. He was the husband of the late Elise Urquhart Holladay and the son of the late Alto Francis and Judith Copeland Holladay, of Suffolk. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. R.H. Pretlow; four nephews, Francis Pretlow, John C. Holladay, Jr., Dr. Beverly L. Holladay, all of Suffolk and Francis D. Holladay of Norfolk. The body was taken to the I. O. Hill Funeral Home where it will remain until 4 p.m. this afternoon. At this time it will be taken to the residence on Bank Street. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the rector, the Rev. John A. Winslow, conducting the services. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Holladay was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, has served on the vestry of that church for numerous years, a charter member of the Hiram Lodge, A.F. and A.M. No. 340, a life member of the Suffolk Elks Lodge, No. 685, one of the founders of the Suffolk Hunt Club, a member of the Board of Directors of the Farmers Bank of Nansemond, which was founded by his grandfather, Colonel John R. Copeland. Until his retirement 10 years ago he had served as vice-president of the Suffolk Feed and Fuel Company. It has been requested by the family that flowers be omitted.
