HOLLADAY Suffolk Bureau. Suffolk, Va., June 9 - Judith Beverly Hunter Holladay died at 600 Bank Street at 2:30 o’clock this morning after a lingering and painful illness. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband, Alto F. Holladay, her sister, Mrs. M.C. Riddick, a daughter, Mrs. Dr. R.H. Pretlow, three sons, Frank A., John C. and J.E.B. Holladay, and two grandchildren, Robert Pretlow, Jr. and John C. Holladay, Jr. Mrs. Holladay was born at the residence of her father, the late Col. John R. Copeland, August 16th, 1848, and married Alto F. Holladay July [sic; February] 15th, 1866. The announcement of her death shocks the whole community. Mrs. Holladay was an earnest Christian and an active member of the Protestant Episcopal Church and a member of the Suffolk chapter Daughters of the Confederacy. The funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Episcopal Church by the Rev. J.B. Dunn. The interment will be Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** MRS. HOLLADAY BURIED. Suffolk Bureau. Suffolk, Va., June 11. - The funeral of the late Mrs. Judith Beverly Hunter Holladay took place at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon from St. Paul's P.E. church, and the service was conducted by Rev. Joseph B. Dunn, the rector. It was largely attended. The following were pall-bearers: Active - Dr. C.J. Riddick, Col. E.E. Holland, W.H. Jones, Jr., A.A. Riddick, John B. Norfleet, W.R. Kilby and M.T. Pinner.
