The remains of L.D. Holt, who died to-day in Hampton, will to-morrow be brought to Suffolk for burial. He was a former resident of Suffolk, and later was in business in Norfolk. He was a Mason and a Confederate veteran, being a member of the Pickett- Buchanan Camp, Norfolk. The deceased married Miss Annie Jenkins, of Nansemond. One son survives. ****************************************************************************** MR. HOLT BURIED The burial of the late Leonidas D. Holt took place this morning in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Religious services were conducted at the grave side by Rev. Jesse T. Whitley, pastor of the First Methodist Church at Hampton. At the request of Commander Brown, of the Pickett-Buchanan Camp, of Norfolk, members of the Tom Smith, of Suffolk, met the remains and accorded military honors. Colonel Smith said he expected a detail to come from the Pickett-Buchanan Camp, but they didn’t. Leonidas D.
