HOLLAND DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS Suffolk, Va., Dec. 2. - Augustus A. Holland, a prominent citizen of Nansemond county and a man widely known throughout this section, died suddenly this morning at his home in Holland in the 46th year of his age. He had been sick but one day. He was the son of the late William L. [sic; T.] Holland and Mrs. Sarah C. Holland. He is survived by a widow, who was Miss Mamie Norfleet, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Odenhal [sic; Odend'hal] of Norfolk, Va., three [sic; two] brothers, Joseph G. Holland of Holland, Va., and Owen C. Holland of Montgomery, Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. P.L. Everett and Mrs. Elihu Joyner of Holland, Va., and Mrs. W.G. Elam of Suffolk. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock by Rev. J.F. Lawless, assisted by Rev. N.G. Newman. The body will be interred in the family burying ground.
