Holland, 55, wife of Carlisle P. Holland, and daughter of the late James T. and Mollie Holland, of Windsor, Va., died Saturday morning at 12:30 a.m. in Washington Hospital in Washington D. C., after an illness of six weeks. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Carlisle P. Holland, Jr., of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Junie T. Bradshaw, of Windsor; two brothers, Gladstone P. Holland of Norfolk; and Quincy Holland, of Billings, Mont.; also several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Holland was a charter member of the West End Baptist Church in which she was an active worker; also a charter member of the Suffolk Woman's Club, past president of the Silver Cross Circle of the King's Daughters. The body was brought to Suffolk and taken to the funeral home of I.O. Hill Company, and was later taken to her late residence, 109 Brewer avenue, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock conducted by Dr. R.P. Downey and the Rev. Sam T. Habel, Jr. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Blanche Tenis (HOLLAND; Mrs. Carlyle P.)
