Holland, died this morning in a local hospital, aged 69 years. Surviving her are five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Barner Ellis, Mrs. Lizzie Byrd, Mrs. S.P. Whitfield, Eley F. Holland and Jesse L. Holland, all of Holland; Mrs. J.C. Finch, of Lawrenceville; Mrs. W.E. Moody, of Portsmouth; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, J.K Holland, of Holland. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Holland Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. W.M. Jay, the Rev. Dr. N.G. Newman, and the Rev. Dr. I.W. Johnson. Burial will take place in Holland Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** FUNERALS MRS. CHERRIE HOLLAND Funeral services for Mrs. Cherrie Holland were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Holland Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. W.M. Jay, Dr. H.G. Newman, Dr. I.W. Johnson and the Rev. W.H. Corbitt. A quartette composed of W.W. Darden, Vernon Holland, L.F. Carter and Dr. W. Johnson rendered "The Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," accompanied by Mrs. E.L. Rawles. A solo, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," was sung by W.W. Darden. There were many floral designs, the casket being covered with a double spray of lilies and fern. Active pallbearers: J.O. Davidson, J.M. Fanney, Preston Holland, Harvey Worrell, H.D. Johnson, Elmo Norfleet, Dr. G.G. Holland, Teddie Tomlin. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers. Interment was made in the Holland cemetery.
