HUGH KELLY HOLLAND, SR.

   HOLLAND - Hugh Kellie [sic; Kelly] Holland, Sr., 70, died Sunday at 12:15 
a.m. at his home on Route 2 after a short illness.

   A native of Nansemond County, he was the son of William L. and Mrs. 
Margaret Susan Holland.  He was a retired farmer and a member of the Holy Neck 
Christian Church.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ronie Ferguson Holland; three 
daughters, Mrs. W.H. Smith of Raleigh, N.C.; Mrs. James M. Jones of Zuni and 
Miss Ann Olivia Holland and Holland; four sons, Jasper L. Holland of Tampa, 
Fla., and William Horace Holland, James Edward Holland and Hugh Kellie 
Holland, Jr. all of Holland; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

   A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. 
Funeral Home by the Rev. James A. Coney, pastor, Box Elder Friends Church, 
and the Rev. R.T. Grissom, pastor of Holy Neck Christian Church.  Burial will 
be in the Holy Neck Church Cemetery.
