HONOR HOLLAND Mrs. Honor Holland died at the home of her son-in-law, P.C. Holland, near Holland, Va., Sept. 20, 1907, aged 88 years*. Without sickness or disease and free from pain her life went out as the candle that burned to its end. She was the widow of (William) Bryant Holland, who preceded her by 41 years. She had been the mother of 10 children 6 of whom - John G., Pollie Holland, Jane Byrd, Alas Holland, Emiline Holland and Lizzie Byrd - still survive. Seventy-seven grandchildren and great grandchildren survive, making her total living descendants 83. Mrs. Holland was a good woman of strong faith and happy disposition. She had been a member of Holy Neck church for about 52 years. The funeral was conducted at the home by the writer and the remains buried in the graveyard at her old home nearby. May her memory be blessed and sanctified to the good of all the dear ones she had left behind. N.G. Newman Honor (HOLLAND; Mrs. Wm.
