All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Rites Friday For Mrs. Mary Holland Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rawls [sic; Rawles] Holland, 66, who died yesterday at 12:45 p.m. at a local hospital after an illness of a week, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Holy Neck Christian Church. The Rev. Paul S. Grice will officiate. The widow of Thomas Burgess Holland of near Holland, Nansemond County, she is survived by six daughters, Miss Lucille Holland of Suffolk, Mrs. Elmo Worrell, Mrs. E.R. Chappell and Mrs. Romie Holland, all of Holland; Mrs. J.R. Barnhill of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Royal Taylor ot Newport News; four sons, J. Conway Holland of Franklin, B.F. Holland of Wilmington, Delaware, John Thomas Holland and Kenneth R. Holland, both of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Britton and Miss Effa Rawls of Suffolk; a brother, Jackson Rawls of Whaleyville; 11 grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She was an active member of the Holy Neck Christian Church. The body was taken to the I.O. Hill Funeral Home, where it will remain until tomorrow afternoon at 2:15 o'clock. At this time the funeral procession will leave for the Holy Neck Church. Interment will take place in the family cemetery near Holy Neck.
