NANCY JONES HOLLAND 

Mrs. Nancy Holland, widow of the late Lamb [sic; Lemuel] Holland, departed 
this life at her home near Holland, Va., on April 24, 1907, aged 93 years, 
3 mons, and 9 days.  The funeral services were conducted at the home by the 
writer and the remains placed in the family cemetery.  The deceased was in 
good health and spirits and active till with a few days of her death when 
she was stricken with paralysis.  She leaves four children - John A. and 
Robert L. Holland, Mrs. Elisha Copeland and Miss Mat Holland and one hundred 
and twenty two grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great 
grandchildren, making a total of 126 living descendants, while 54 embracing 
four generations have passed on before, bringing the total descendants up to 
180.  The largest family gathering we have ever seen was present at the 
funeral.  We extend our sympathy to this large family circle.  May the memory 
of a good mother and grandmother be ever precious and may they emulate all 
that was noblest and best in her life.
