NOVELLA VIRGINIA HOLLAND 

   HOLLAND - Mrs. Novella Virginia Holland died Saturday at 7 a.m. in Obici 
Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

   A native of Gates County, N.C., she lived in Holland most of her life. 
She was a daughter of William James and Mrs. Sarah Jones Rawles Norfleet and 
the widow of Joseph G. Holland of Holland.

   She was a member of Holland Congregational Christian Church and for many 
years a teacher of the Woman’s Sunday School Class.  She was a member of 
Constantia Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; Colonial Dames of 
the 17th Century; Dames of the Court of Honor; and Holland Woman’s Club.

   She is survived by a son William Norfleet Holland of Holland.

   A funeral service was conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. in R.W. Baker and Co. 
Funeral Home, in Suffolk by the Rev. Carl Dollar of Holland Congregational 
Christian Church and the Rev. Mrs. Wilkerson Holland.  Burial was in Holly 
Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.
