SARAH ANN HOLLAND DIES SUN. Mrs. Sarah Ann Holland, 94*, widow of James Richard Holland, a Confederate veteran, died at her home in Nansemond County Sunday afternoon at 1:50 o'clock. She was the daughter of the late Geo. and Nancy Mathews Dixon. The funeral procession left the R.W. Baker Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon in time for services at Oakland Church at 3 o'clock. Dr. I.W. Johnson and the Rev. E.H. Rawlings officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Holland is survived by two sons Henry Clifton Holland, of Portsmouth and Herbert Hilton Holland, of Isle of Wight; four daughters, Mrs. Wortley Cuppy, of Cumberland, W.Va.; Mrs. Eva M. Manning of Suffolk; Mrs. Maggie E. Holland, of Nansemond and Mrs. Florence Everton, of Nansemond; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Sarah had a twin, George R. Franklin DIXON. She & her husband share a marble obelisk, pictured with their Find a Grave Memorials, #39939931 & #9738587. It shows the correct dates. Her husband also has a modern V.A. Confederate marker. Her parents are buried there also.
