Holland, Sr., died tonight at 6:10 o’clock at a local hospital after an illness of one week. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E.L. Bayton, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. L.R. Gardner, of Suffolk, R.F.D.; five sons, W.B., Paul C., Jr., and Vernon Holland, of Holland; L.V. Holland, of Franklin, and K.R. Holland, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Byrd, of Suffolk; 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Co., where it will remain until Sunday morning at 10 o’clock when it will be taken to the home near Holland. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. Arnold Slater, Dr. I.W. Johnson and the Rev. W.H. Corbitt. Burial will be in the Holland Cemetery.
