Two Prominent Persons Pass to Their Final Reward. 

Death of Mr. L. W. Jordan and Mrs. Myra Hannaford - 
   Roll of Honor of the Public and High Schools - Personal.

MRS. HANNAFORD DEAD. 

  Mrs. Myra Hannaford died this morning at Somerton, aged 70 years.  She had 
been ill a short time with pneumonia.  The funeral will take place at 2 
o'clock to-morrow afternoon from the Somerton Methodist Church, and the 
interment will be nearby. 

  Mrs. Hannaford was born Hunter.  She was the widow of the late William T. 
Hannaford, who was well known in Suffolk, having been a merchant and preacher. 

  The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Wilson Norfleet, Suffolk; Mrs. Mark 
Smith, Somerton; Captain Fred W. Hunter, Somerton, and Scott Hunter, 
Williamsburg.  She leaves other more remote relatives and many friends.

TWO FUNERALS. 

  The funeral of the late Mrs. Myra Hannaford took place at 2 o'clock this 
afternoon from the Methodist Church in Somerton, Va.  The services were 
conducted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Allen.  The interment was in a private 
cemetery near there.  A number of persons from Suffolk attended the obsequies, 
among them being T.T. Jones, R.L. Woodward, F.A. Holladay, Wilson Norfleet and 
Miss Julia Norfleet, all connections of the deceased's family.

The couple appear in the 1850 Census in Nansemond Co. 

They appear in the 1860 Census in the Upper Parish, Nansemond Co. 

They appear in the 1870 Census in Magnolia, Duplin Co., NC. 

Her husband d. intestate; Gray C. GARRIS qualified as his administrator 
   28 Dec 1877 Duplin Co., NC. 

His father (1805 - 1880) was a watchmaker & jeweller. 

Her sister Clara Susan (HUNTER; Mrs. Wilson) NORFLEET (1847 - 1921) is also 
   buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery - Block G, Lot 32:
