Two Prominent Persons Pass to Their Final Reward. Death of Mr. L. W. Jordan and Mrs. Myra Hannaford - Roll of Honor of the Public and High Schools - Personal. (Special to Virginian-Pilot.) Suffolk, Va., Jan. 30. - [...] MRS. HANNAFORD DEAD. Mrs. Myra Hannaford died this morning at Somerton, aged 70 years. She had been ill a short time with pneumonia. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon from the Somerton Methodist Church, and the interment will be nearby. Mrs. Hannaford was born Hunter. She was the widow of the late William T. Hannaford, who was well known in Suffolk, having been a merchant and preacher. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Wilson Norfleet, Suffolk; Mrs. Mark Smith, Somerton; Captain Fred W. Hunter, Somerton, and Scott Hunter, Williamsburg. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Allen. The interment was in a private cemetery near there. A number of persons from Suffolk attended the obsequies, among them being T.T. Jones, R.L. Woodward, F.A. Holladay, Wilson Norfleet and Miss Julia Norfleet, all connections of the deceased's family.
