HINES DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER Funeral for Well Known Resident Set For Friday At Bethlehem Church Mrs. Nancy Jane Hines, 70, widow of the late J.L. Hines, died Thursday morning at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter. Mrs. N.T. Gautier, 163 S. Main street. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. N.T. Gautier, of Suffolk, and one son, S.L. Hines, of Suffolk, also nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. G.W. Powell, and Mrs. E.C. Nelms, both of Suffolk, one brother, W.J. Winn [sic; Gwinn, of] Nansemond county, also several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hines was a lifelong member of the Bethlehem Christian church and was active in church work until her recent illness. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. The body was removed to the I. O. Hill funeral home where it will remain until Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, at which time the funeral procession will leave for Bethlehem Christian church where services will be held at 4 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Their son Wilbur Wellons MUMFORD (1885 - 1936) is also buried at Bethlehem. Widowed, she 2m. Confederate veteran James Lewis) HINES, son of John L. & Sallie HINES, 28 Nov 1889 in Nansemond Co. Their son Sidney Lewis HINES (1895 - 1957) is also buried at Bethlehem. Their daughter "Lizzie" Elizabeth Jane HINES 1m. Jack SALMON; widowed, she 2m. Norman Thomas GAUTIER. She & Norman are buried in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Oakland Christian Church, Chuckatuck.
