[sic; Hargroves] [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] SUFFOLK, Va., June 16. - Dr. Legare Hargrove, of Nansemond county, died to-night in a Norfolk hospital, aged about thirty-six years. He is survived by a widow, who was Miss Martha Driver, and one daughter, Mary Frances. Dr. Legare HARGROVES, Nansemond Co. physician, b. 30 Oct 1868, d. 16 Jun 1909, Norfolk, interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block G, Lot 25*), Suffolk, "Times-Dispatch" (Richmond, VA), Thurs., June 17, 1909, p. 2, col. 7 *Cedar Hill list, an extension of the Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/nansemond/cemeteries/cedar_g.txt His in-laws, Elliott Jefferson & Mary Ann (WILLIAMS) DRIVER, are buried in adjacent Block G, Lot 24: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/nansemond/cemeteries/cedar_d.txt His half-bro Edward Denby HARGROVES, a Confederate veteran, is buried in Block C, Lot 74. Their father James "HARGROVE" was appointed postmaster of Hargrove's Tavern, 3 Feb 1851.
