Harrell, Aged 78 Years, Dies Suddenly J.B. Harrell, age 78 years, died suddenly last night at 11:40 o'clock, at his residence, 302 York street. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah J. Harrell, two daughters, Mrs. Annie Klages, of Suffolk, and Mrs. Elizabeth Harcum, of Charlotte, N.C., two sons, W.P. Harrell, of Newport News, and J.L. Harrell, of Suffolk, a brother, Richard Harrell, of Nansemond County, also eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the residence, 302 York street, conducted by Dr. W.W. Staley and Rev. H.S. Hardcastle. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery. ****************************************************************************** J. B. HARRELL The funeral services for J.B. Harrell were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the resilience, 302 York street, conducted by Dr. W.W. Staley and Rev. H.S. Hardcastle. A quartette composed of Mrs. Rosa Brinkley, Miss Powell, W.W. Ballard and Hersey Woodward, Jr., accompanied by Mrs. C.R. Wallace, rendered the selections "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus," "The Old Rugged Cross," "God Will Take Care Of You." There were many handsome floral designs, the casket being covered with a double-end spray of lilies and pink roses. Active pallbearers: Jessie Copeland, Ben Copeland, J.R. Byrd, L.H. Byrd, Jim Harrell, E.C. Kelly, T.C. Harrell, Joe Judkins. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
