She had been in poor health for some time. The funeral took place at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 1906 from the Liberty Spring Christian Church and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. I.W. Johnson. Active pallbearers: L.P. Brinkley, J.T. Rawles, R. Frank Rodgers, C.E. Byrd, J.T. Pierce, J.S. Peele, R.T. Rawles and O.H. Savage. Honorary Pallbearers: R.T. Rodgers, H.S. Doughtie, J.B. Harrell, Leonidas Harrell and Henry Parker. She is survived by a widower; 3 sons, Rev. J.W. Harrell of Portsmouth, J.E. Harrell of Norfolk and C.E. Harrell of Whaleyville; 3 daughters, Mrs. Emmett Rogers and Miss Hattie Harrell and Miss Lizzie Harrell of Whaleyville; 2 brothers, John Edward Norfleet of Box Elder and A.T. Norfleet of Mississippi and 3 sisters, Mrs. Chas. Duke of Suffolk and Mrs. H.S. Doughtie and Mrs. Cornelia Rawles of Nansemond County. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were profuse. She was well beloved by a large circle of acquaintances.
