Harrell, 79, widow of J.H. Harrell, and daughter of the late Edwin F. and Mrs. Martha Bynum Williamson, died this morning at 10:30 o’clock at home of her daughter, Mrs. Emmett H. Rawles, 119 Brewer Avenue, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at the funeral Home of I.O. Hill & co., on West Washington Street, Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. Dr. George Wesley Jones and the Rev. Dr. John G. Truitt. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Harrell is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emmett H. Rawles, of Suffolk, and Mrs. B.W. Councill, of Holland; four sons, E.J. Harrell of Somerton, Nansemond County; R.A. and L.C. Harrell, both of Emporia, and E.P. Harrell, of Baltimore; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She had been for many years, since girlhood, a member of Main Street Methodist Church, and a member of the woman’s Missionary Society of that church. Martha "Mattie" (WILLIAMSON; Mrs. Joseph H.)
