HARRELL Suffolk, Oct. 26. - Joseph R. Harrell, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Harrell, of the county, died Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at a local hospital. Besides his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Mrs. J.L. Byrd, of Suffolk; Mrs. S.E. Copeland, of Waverly, and Misses Elizabeth, Margaret and Elsie Harrell; three brothers, Arthur, Fred and Louis Harrell, of Suffolk, and his grandfather, J.E. Harrell, of the county. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev. Dr. I.W. Johnson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** SUFFOLK FUNERALS WILLIAM R. HARRELL, JR. Suffolk, Oct. 29. - Funeral services for William R. Harrell, Jr., were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Liberty Spring Church by Dr. I.W. Johnson, assisted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. The hymns, "Tell Mother I'll Be There," "Abide With Me," and "Safe In The Arms of Jesus," were sung by the church choir. Miss Ursula Eason sang, "No Night There," accompanied by Mrs. I.W. Johnson. The casket was covered with a pall of white chrysanthemums. Active pallbearers were schoolmates, Willie Eason, Harrell Byrd, James Powell, B.O. Griffin, Thomas Rawles, Bruce Baker, Emmett Arline and Woodrow Gray. The flower girls were Claudine Norfleet, Margaret Copeland, Myra Duke, Catherine Harrell, Margie Holland, Maude Griffin, Josephine Griffin, Margaret Baker, Evelyn Smith, Edith Copeland, Tillie Copeland, Nannie Sue Gardner and Mamie Smith. Burial was in the Liberty Spring Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Nansemond Boy Dies In Local Hospital Joseph Rufus Harrell, Jr., aged 15 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Copeland, of Waverly, Miss Josephine, Elizabeth, Margaret and Elsie Harrell, all of Nansemond county, Arthur, Fred and Lewis Harrell, all of Suffolk, also his grandfather, J.E. Harrell, of Nansemond county. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Liberty Spring Church conducted by Dr. I.W. Johnson.
