A native of Isle of Wight County, she had been a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and its auxiliaries in Nansemond County approximately 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph M. Nelms and Janie Lufsey Nelms. Mrs. Joyner and her husband, Richard H. Joyner, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last January. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard G. Joyner of Newport News and Thomas N. Joyner of Hampton; two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Willis of Suffolk and Mrs. George L. Hayes of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Luke of Hampton and Mrs. W. F. Anglin of Severn, Md.; two brothers, Charles W. Nelms of Norfolk and H. C. Nelms of Nansemond County; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 tomorrow afternoon at the Baker Funeral Home at Suffolk, with the Rev. R. E.
