JESSE JONES DEAD. - Mr. Jesse Jones, brother of Mr. C. Jones, died shortly before 6 o'clock yesterday morning, after an illness resulting from pneumonia of less than a week's duration. Mr. Jones was a life resident of Suffolk, and was thoroughly popular with his friends. He was in his 43d year. A wife and four children survive him. He was a member of Welcome Lodge No. 50, Knights of Pythias, which lodge will attend the funeral in a body. The funeral takes place this afternoon from the Christian Church at 3:30 o'clock, Dr. W.W. Staley officiating, ****************************************************************************** FUNERAL POSTPONED. - The funeral of the late Jesse Jones, which was to have occurred yesterday, was postponed on account of the storm. It is set for to day at 2:30 o'clock in the Christian Church, where Dr. W. W. Staley, the pastor, will officiate, after which the interment will occur in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** MR. JONES BURIED. - The funeral of the late Jesse Jones took place yesterday afternoon from the Christian Church, Dr. W.W. Staley conducting the services. The Pythians attended in a body and directed his interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The following pallbearers served: M.F. Lloyd, J.H. Byrd, W.B. Lawrence, Babe Waters, W.C. Harrell and W.T. Graham.
