MARY ELIZABETH BRIDGER JONES 

MRS. MARY ELIZABETH JONES 

  Suffolk, June 7. - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jones, for several years an invalid, 
died this afternoon at her home in Kingsboro Heights, in the 55th year of her 
age. 

  Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Wiley W. Jones, one son, William 
Alfred Jones, and two daughters, Mrs. Eva Bradshaw of Portsmouth and Miss 
Georgie Jones of Suffolk. 

  The funeral services will be held at the Suffolk Baptist church Friday 
afternoon at 5 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G.T. Lumpkin, assisted by Dr. 
Staley.  Interment will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery. 

  The pall-bearers will be T.M. Hobbs, R.L. Harcom [sic; Harcum], John White, 
Junius Carr, Lemuel Babb and George Bradshaw.

Her mother's varies in the records.  James C. BRIDGER & Georgeanna BATTEN 
   entered into a marriage bond 2 Jun 1850 in Gates Co., NC.  The 1880 Census 
   - Sleepy Hole Dist., Nansemond Co. - gives Georgetta.  Mary's marriage 
   record - Nansemond Co. M.Reg. 1880 #21 - gives Georgetta V. 

Mary's D.Cert. 14860 (Suffolk #192) gives b. 20 Mar 1863; mother: Georgeanna.
