All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. John Jones Rites Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Belle Luter Jones will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield to the church two hours prior to the service. Mrs. Jones, 53, died Sunday morning in Obici Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks. She was a native of Nansemond County and a member of Ivor Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late William Clyde Luter. Surviving are her husband, John Walter Jones, Suffolk; her mother, Mrs. Dell Luter Byrd; two daughters, Mrs. Alma J. Wade, Norfolk, and Mrs. Janie Lee Byrum, Suffolk; two sons, J.W. Jones Jr., Stony Creek, and Charles A. Jones, Franklin; one brother, Mills C. Luter, Suffolk; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Mae Chapman, Isle of Wight; and five grandchildren. Susie Belle (LUTER; Mrs. John W.)
