He is survived by a daughter, Miss Lottie Johnson, of Sunbury; five sons, Edward, Hurley and A.D. Johnson, of Norfolk: Charles Johnson, of Sunbury, and Aubrey Johnson, of Gatesville, N.C.; four sisters, Mrs. J.D. Speight, of Gatesville; Mrs. W.M. Hazlett and Mrs. Nannie Russell, both of Whaleyville, and Mrs. Fred H. Taylor, of Suffolk, and three brothers, J.I., Jesse and D. P. Johnson, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence in Sunbury Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock by the Rev. W.A. Vincent and Dr. W.W. Staley. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery, Suffolk.
