April D. Johnson 

  April Danielle Johnson, 16, of 9021 South Quay Rd., Suffolk, died Tuesday, 
June 19, 2001. 

  A native of Portsmouth, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Drew, her paternal grandfather, Ryland Frank Johnson, 
and a brother, Brian Hedgepeth. 

  She finished the 10th grade at Lakeland High School, and she participated in 
the chorus, and was very active in art classes. 

  Survivors include her parents, Frankie Lee and Barbiera Drew Johnson; 
paternal grandparents, William P. and Donna Marino of Suffolk; paternal 
great-grandmother, Stella Powell of Franklin; a sister and brother-in-law, 
Michelle and Edward Quimby of Elizabeth City, N.C.; nephews, Coty Quimby and 
Dylan Quimby of Elizabeth City; and a niece, Marina Quimby of Elizabeth City, 
N.C. 

  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home 
with Rev. William T. Hawkins officiating. 

  Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. 

  Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, 
and other times at the residence. 

  Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is serving the family.
