Johnson, of 129 Warren street, died this morning at 12:30 o'clock at a local hospital. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Emma Johnson, three daughters, Mrs. J.W. Hall, Mrs. H.C. Nelms and Miss Mary Louise Johnson and a stepdaughter, Miss Betty D. Fowler, all of Suffolk; four grandchildren, two sons, James H. and Linwood R. Johnson, of Suffolk; three sisters, Mrs. E.L. Nelms and Mrs. J.E. Cox of Ocean View, and Mrs. E.L. Gardner of Richmond, two brothers, H.C. Johnson of Walters Cephas Johnson of Ocean View and a half-brother, E.W. Bradshaw of Ocean View. The body was taken to the funeral home of I.O. Hill & Co., where funeral services will be held Monday at 4:30 p.m. with Dr. John G. Truitt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** BERNARD H. JOHNSON Bernard H. Cox, of Ocean View, Va., Mrs. E.L. Gordon of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, H.C. Johnson of Walters, Va., and Cephas Johnson, of Ocean View, Va., one half-brother, E.T. Bradshaw, of Ocean View, and four grandchildren. The body was taken to the funeral home of O.I. [sic] I.O. Hill & Company where the funeral services will be held today at 4:30 p.m. conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin. ****************************************************************************** Funeral services for Bernard H. Johnson, who died Sunday morning at a local hospital after a long illness, were conducted at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home by Dr. J.G. Truitt. Mrs. J.G. Truitt, accompanied by Mrs. Craig Wallace, sang "No Night There." Dr. Truitt read Tennyson's "Crossing the Bar." The casket was covered with a pall of white gladiolas and lavender asters. Pallbearers were Wilson Horne, Everett Harris, B.R. Fanney, H.L. Russell, C. Russell, James Selmon [sic; Salmon], Alfred Horne, and J.H. Morgan. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family, and burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
