All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CLYDE CALVIN JOHNSON CLYDE CALVIN JOHNSON IS BURIED NEAR WINDSOR The funeral services for little Clyde Calvin Johnson, 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Johnson, of near Windsor, were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Bethlehem Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. A.P. Thompson. The members of the church choir rendered the hymns, "Sometime We'll Understand," and "In the Sweet Bye and Bey;" a duet, "The Old Rugged Cross," was sung by Rev. and Mrs. R.E. Brittle, accompanied by Miss Mary Jones. There were many floral tributes the casket being covered with white carnations and ferns. Active pallbearers: G.T. Rountree, Jr., Alton Bradshaw, William Norfleet, Howard Clements, Clyde Lankford, Jr., John Harrison Redd, Roger Gardner, William Davenport. Flower girls: Odelle Redd, Doris Norfleet, Florence Norfleet, Margaret Bradshaw, Martha Davenport, Dorothy Clements, Frances Clements, Mary Emma Luke, Cornelia Norfleet. Burial was in the Bethlehem Church cemetery. Clyde Calvin JOHNSON, son of Horace P. & Mildred A.
