A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Bernard H. Johnson and a daughter of William and Mrs. Bettie Fowler. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Hall of Suffolk and Mrs. G. Dempsey Wilkins of Portsmouth; two sons, James Harrison Johnson of Franklin and Linwood R. (Kenny) Johnson of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. K. Donald Berg. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
