Main St., who had been visiting his son, Robert S. Johnson in North Arlington, N.J., died Sunday afternoon in a North Arlington hospital after a short illness. A retired painter, he was a member of Main Street Methodist Church, and a son of the late George W. and Mrs. Harriett Smith Johnson of Nansemond County. Surviving in addition to his son, are a brother, George W. Johnson of Suffolk, a sister, Mrs. J. Whit Vines of Norfolk, and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Baker Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Dr. Hampden I. Smith, Jr. of Main Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
